About the role

In this exciting and dynamic role you’ll be testing new features and enhancements, writing test scripts, providing test estimates and finding reproductions for problems reported by customers and internal staff. No pesky bug will be safe from you.

You’ll be a self-managed team player who takes ownership of testing and ensures the quality of our software is top notch. Continuous learning and improvement will be a key to success in this role, with plenty of opportunities for further development and leadership within the organisation.

Right now you may be in a similar role or even a Grad starting out. Regardless, you will be looking to step into a more dynamic environment where you can learn more, be exposed to modern technology, and grow in your tech industry career.

What you can expect in this role

• Working with modern web based software using the latest technologies
• Plan, create and execute test cases
• Perform system, integration, regression and post deployment testing to ensure the delivery of quality software
• Finding reproductions for software defects and bugs
• Identifying missing functionality and providing suggestions and feedback on product design
• Contribute to software testing documentation
• Help implement testing best practices
• Option for working remotely from home, flexible work hours

 

What skills would help you succeed in this role

• A good understanding of single page web applications
• A curiosity to understand and leverage new tools and technologies
• Good analysis skills
• Familiarity with issue tracking systems and browser dev tools
• An understanding of financial transactions and online payment systems
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical
• Experience with automated testing is an advantage but not a must

• As the country is currently in lockdown, being able to work remotely is essential.
• Interviews will be conducted using Zoom video chat.
• You will require New Zealand working rights to apply for this role.
