NOC Engineer (Remote working)

Job Description

We require several NOC Technical Support Specialists to be the first point of contact for network technology support requests across a large scale environment. This will cover all Level 1 and 2 for networks and voice. A high level of first time fix is expected, working through problems end to end or escalating to engineers as required.
  
You will be tasked with managing and monitoring network performance, enabling you to foresee upcoming network issues, with a view to escalating these to an on-site engineer. You will also manage network and system outages, ideally fixing on first contact, otherwise escalating to an engineer on site.
  
You will be an accomplished network infrastructure support engineer, who has excellent experience working within a NOC in an enterprise level telco or ISP environment. Key technical skills required are as follows:
  

• Netcool – network management tool- or similar
• Solarwinds – Network Performance Monitoring tool – or similar
• SMEC – Service Management for Enterprise Customers,  ITSM tool for networking – or similar service management tools such as ServiceNow
• SIIAM or SIAM– Fault management System
• Cisco fundamentals – must have CCNA, CCNP or CCIE –
• TELCO/ISP grade routing and switching
• Cisco SD-WAN
• Cisco Nexus ACI (Cisco Nexus Application Centric Infrastructure or Cisco SDN - NEXUS 9000)           
• ADSL/Fibre/BDSL/NBN/UFB – standard broadband, fibre skills at enterprise level – fault diagnosis and repair

  
You will be a key point of contact with our clients key business customers, therefore your communication skills and customer service ethic would need to be of the highest standard.
  
This is a remote role, therefore you will work from home. Kit will be sent to you, however you will need to have an excellent and reliable internet connection in order to do the job. You will be open to shift work (24/7 support so multiple shift and day scenarios available), and be self-managing and organised.
  
You will need to be resident in New Zealand, and either be a citizen or have the required work visa.
