Job Description

Voyage is looking for a Producer to join our growing team. The Producer role requires broad knowledge of digital design and development processes, excellent communication and project management skills. You're able to drive every phase of the project lifecycle, partnering with clients, strategists, writers, designers, and developers—embracing and supporting all individuals.

You are great at managing people, understand best practices, and work with dedication to meeting the needs of our team and clients. The role demands being able to work across various projects and brands, manage client expectations, schedules, budgets, assets, resources, and scopes in an organized manner with quality and attention to detail in every area.

What you will be doing:

Day-to-day you will have lots to do and tasks will range with things like:

  • Be the primary contact for your clients, ensuring all lines of communication are flowing, managing expectations and delivering projects with the development team - this may even include chipping in with writing content, uploading assets, etc
  • Defining and managing projects from end to end - including scoping, resource, schedules and budgets
  • Writing proposals, preparing estimates, reporting budgets and arranging invoicing of work
  • Managing the production team and client with a sense of calm and a smile

Who we're looking for:

  • Agency experience as a Producer / Project Manager - We need someone who can dive right in without a lot of "hand holding"
  • You have excellent communication and client relations skills — you'll be the bridge between our studio and our clients so communicating project goals as well as the ideas behind the work we produce is essential.
  • A natural leader — You have the the ability to motivate, support and work with people at all levels.
  • You have the ability to develop and implement schedules and budgets of various scopes and sizes. You're awesome at prioritisation and happy to work as a team to get things done.
  • Have a solid understanding of and curiosity about technology and digital products
  • Tools as well as ideas — You have a keen eye for detail, enjoy seeing the big picture and how processes can work more efficiently. We use tools such as Jira, Notion, Google Docs, Slack, WorkflowMax and other project management and communication tools. Any knowledge of these tools is a plus.

Why work with us?

  • You'll be working with a team of smart and creative people
  • Remote ok - work from our Central Christchurch office or the comfort of your own home
  • Flexible hours - if you need to start early, finish late, or just need to pop out for a bit; we can make that work!
  • We're a sociable bunch and enjoy celebrating our successes. Team lunches, Friday drinks are common around here.
  • Mentoring and personal development as well as travel opportunities
  • Unlimited coffee and a fridge stocked for Friday drinks
  • Epic quarterly team days with out-of-office activities with plenty of good food
  • A paid Mental Health Day per month for full-time, permanent employees
  • This position can be full-time, or contract, with up to 40 hours per week dependent on the applicant
  • Work visa transfer or sponsorship is not possible at this time
