Green Light are assisting in delivering projects for an industry leading organisation and have a requirement for a talented
Citrix Engineer to join our Auckland delivery team. The
Citrix Engineer will be a SME with strong experience in Citrix capable of managing performance and rectifying any errors that occur within the Citrix service and strong experience with Citrix filesharing.
The
Citrix Engineer will join an established product team of specialists to assist with capacity upgrade to help with remote workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing or supporting Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, Citrix Provisioning services (PVS and MCS), image creation etc.
- Systems administration including Server OS, Citrix, applications-related administration, perimeter device administration, virtualisation technologies, systems monitoring/management.
- Install, configure and support products and services.
- Ensure ongoing operation of systems/applications through troubleshooting, scheduling/monitoring jobs and technology-related business processes, and third/fourth-level support.
- Prepare proposals and technical project plans.
- Develop solutions to customer business requirements, technical problems and/or engineering of systems/applications.
- Desktop & Server Engineering and Citrix systems administration.
- Develop and provide specifications for desktop/server hardware, OS, and software configurations.
- Deploy, maintain, and enhance the security of server and desktop systems through administrative, preventative, detective, and reactive controls, such as change and configuration management, anti-virus measures, patch management, and system scans.
- Ensure ongoing operation of systems/applications through troubleshooting, scheduling/monitoring jobs and technology-related business processes, and third/fourth-level support.
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience working as a Citrix XenApp Engineer.
- Proven track record in working at an Enterprise Citrix environment.
- Demonstrated progressive hands-on experience with Citrix technologies (e.g., XenApp Presentation Server, NetScaler, Advanced Access Controls, XenDesktop).
- Demonstrating extensive knowledge of Citrix-based application delivery principles and practices.
- Demonstrated progressive hands-on experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server in an enterprise network environment, demonstrating extensive knowledge of Microsoft-based system principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with VMware ESX and related server and desktop virtualisation (VDI) technologies is highly desirable.
- Experience in a medium-to-large AD environments.
