Senior Developer

Job Description

Platinum Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with an industry leader as they look to grow their technical delivery team through the addition of an experienced Senior Developer. Our client is a well-respected international software company and have offices spread across the globe. 

This opportunity will suit someone who is strong technically but who is also motivated by working with customers as, eventually, this role will also involve technical consultancy with customers, managing the configuration and development of solutions to meet their needs, and delivering technical implementations. 

You will be working on two key ever-evolving mobile and cloud-based products, and your teammates will be technical consultants, project managers and other professional services experts.

The ideal candidate will:

• Play a lead role in a hands-on technical position working across the Microsoft stack
• Represent our client (remotely!) to their customers as a technical expert
• Work closely with business consultants and customer SMEs to design technical solutions to meet the needs of the business
• Work closely with the Project Manager to manage risk, report progress and help size work

Essential requirements:  

• Experience contributing across the full Microsoft technology stack with core strengths in C# and SQL
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential as you will be active in solution design, delivering demonstrations and technical requirements capture
• Willingness and ability to (eventually!) travel

Desirable: 

• Experience engaging with customers and supporting product implementations in a customer facing role across the entire lifecycle
• Experience as a software developer delivering distributed enterprise solutions
• Xamarin (Android or iOS)
• REST/WebAPIs 
• Azure or AWS
• Git
• Unit Testing and Test Automation experience
